Artist.Born in Saitama in 1992.She is currently working in Romania as an overseas trainee of the Pola Art Foundation in 2022.Her search for ways to put down roots in her two home countries, Japan and Romania, led her to the theme of “the connection between the land and the people.She has conducted cultural anthropological fieldwork on indigenous festivals and folk beliefs in Japan and abroad, and in recent years, as an extension of this field, she has been working in the field of primatology while creating multimedia works including installations, photographs, videos, and paintings.The work spins “moments when things touch each other and become connected across time, distance, land and ethnicity”.
She has exhibited her work at the Museum of Modern Art,Saitama(2020), National Museum of Contemporary Art,Romania(2020), Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (2019), a World Heritage Site, Château de Chambord in France (2018) Hoi An in Vietnam (2019) and other locations around the world. Major awards include “TERRADA ART AWARD 2021” Washida Meruro Prize, “Forbes Japan 30 UNDER 30” 2020, and many more.
