Profile
Born in Osaka Japan in 1996, she graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design (now Kyoto University of the Arts) in 2018. The main theme of her work is “awareness of being in the midst of fluctuation”. In an age when we are exposed to diverse values through social networking services, she has absorbed so many different things that she has become unsure of what is right and what is wrong, even her own opinions and attributes, and her artwork is a vessel to catch this feeling. She continues to create works that draw the viewer in with their original catchiness, such as the large eyes like those of the girls’ manga she was familiar with as a child and the colors like those of fancy goods, so that the viewer can engage in a dialogue with the person depicted in the work.
