About Semba Excel Building
The Semba Excel Building (formerly the Semba Godo Building), owned by Tatsuno Corporation and completed the year before the 1970 Osaka Expo, housed the Semba Art Café, a satellite facility of Osaka City University, from 2006 to 2011, and a corner of the building has been the focus of research practices related to art and community, cultural Attempts have been made to revitalize the city through art.
The Semba Art Site Project inherits this DNA and, as a base of activity, creates opportunities for artists, creators, business people and local residents to gather and meet around art.
